Today we remember the Holocaust, the victims and the survivors. Let us not forget the past and remember the people who were persecuted based only on their heritage.

I feel grateful that we have an International Holocaust Remembrance Day and that I am alive to honor the day with the memories of my father and godmother. After visiting Dachau this past June, and standing in a gas chamber, I feel victorious that the war ended in time and that my father, of blessed memory, survived! #WeRemember
